Your undergraduate university degree will be important and valuable to you when you’re ready to launch your career. But you might also be interested in professional or graduate degrees that will further your education and provide you with the credentials needed for specific career paths.

At Wilfrid Laurier University, there are a variety of options to get professional or graduate degrees after you complete your undergraduate degree. You can even apply for an undergraduate degree and graduate degree at the same time!

Get a law degree

Laurier has a partnership with the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom that allows students to earn their undergraduate degree and law degree in only six years. Choose from a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science program at Laurier and earn a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Sussex.

Pathways to medical school

Medicine is a rewarding and exciting career field and Laurier has options to help you get to medical school through partnerships with the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) and St. George’s University (SGU).

Our partnership with AUC guarantees you an admissions interview with the medical school along with opportunities to receive specific funding and awards. Through this partnership, you will be able study — and eventually practice — medicine around the world.

Our partnership with SGU provides preferred status and a competitive edge to Laurier graduates, as well as scholarships from Laurier and SGU.

Option for a CPA designation

If you’re interested in getting your Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, you can study in Laurier’s Business Administration (BBA) program and choose accounting as your concentration.

You will earn CPA-accredited courses during your undergraduate studies and can continue towards the designation after graduation with the Lazaridis Graduate Diploma in Accounting.

Earn your MBA

The Lazaridis School at Laurier was the first to offer a one-year MBA program in Canada and has pioneered the integrated MBA curriculum design. Our MBA program also offers a co-op option, which provides eight months of work experience.

The Lazaridis MBA is a competitive and challenging program, but it’s also rewarding and will provide you with what you need to be a confident, well-rounded business professional.

Plan for an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree

There are several program options at Laurier where you can apply to both an undergraduate program and a graduate program at the same time. This is a great way to plan ahead for the education you need to achieve your career goals.

You can choose an arts undergrad degree then complete a Master’s degree or an MBA. Or choose a socially focused program, like Human Rights or Health Studies, and complete your Master's degree at the University of Sussex.
